After some 80s karaoke, Jon and I dive into whether we were successful in being present with our families last weekend. We share some great experiences about our Saturdays, and admit that our Sundays needed some work. As someone said to me recently, the goal is to stay out of the “Grey Zone”, where you’re doing one thing while wishing you were doing something else.
Then we take a look at some big picture goals that we have. There is another level that both of us know exists. As corny as it might sound, we each have the goal of helping as many people as possible. And by helping others, we are also helping ourselves.
I took some big steps in hiring a coach and signing up for a class on how to become a coach. I am really excited about continuing this journey!
Jon found a great quote that might get prominently displayed in my house: “You did not wake up this morning to be mediocre.”
I shared the quote that has been on my mind a lot lately: “There is nothing the busy man is less busied with than living; there is nothing harder to learn.” – Seneca
As always, we hope you enjoy!
